Modern Mopar Owners & Enthusiasts

I don't believe I have a pic of my '00 Durango anywhere, but you've seen one, you've seen 'em all. It's nothing special, however I did just have to replace a seized 4.7L a few months back and thought maybe I should warn anyone out there with this motor that it's prone to sludging. My oil came out like molasses, and I use Mobil1 and change it once a season.

This motor is not cheap and it's shoehorned in there, so beware.

A question: does anyone here use Alldata? Is it worth the price?

2.7L V6 in the front-drive cars are prone to sludge seizing also. DaimlerChrysler now specifies synthetic 5W30 as the recommended grade on a TSB title I read, and the 4.7L probably has similar fates.

That being said, Alldata is worth my pennies because I had numerous service trips that I wasn't made aware of as recalls until reading the related issues.
